Gunnar Brynolf Wennerberg (1866 - 1950) GIRLS IN A BIRCH ALLEY

The Swedish painter Brynolf Wennerberg studied painting in Düsseldorf and painted genre scenes. He became a painter of the Swedish countryside and commissioned portraits, which enabled him to finance his travels abroad. His paintings of girls in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco style are appreciated, following the trends in painting and being light-hearted and smiling images of city girls with a somewhat light-hearted expression. He also often painted various female artists, especially dancers.
