Milan Paštéka managed to perfectly combine philosophical thinking with artistic expression. Colour is part of movement and the body becomes colour. Paštéka's paintings often offer a solution to a problem by creating new questions. In the figure, he arrived at the separation of the face and left the body to its expressiveness. Milan Paštéka was able to understand the sensual fullness of the moment and by a certain degree of anonymity he stripped the actors of their masks, thus giving them authenticity. The torsos and images of femininity from the late 1980s correspond morphologically with the work presented here. They lose the full-frontal narrative, but invite us to free associations and understandings of corporeality. The body is an interface of perception, a chronicle of experiences and sensations. The distinctive blue accents in white project into the ceramic work in similar themes.
