Adolf Born (1930 - 2016) GONDOLA

Adolf Born was blessed with an immeasurable imagination and the ability to lighten up everyday life with humour. He was very fond of travelling and collecting inspiration on his travels. Adolf Born's graphic art is based primarily on his masterful drawings. Born strives for a conceptual message and looks for sources of inspiration in ancient art, commedia dell'arte, atlases and folk tales. The almost monochromatic treatment of the prints presented here evokes the old master's work and connects it to the characters of Born's visual comedy.
