"SOMNO" TYPE BIEDERMEIER SIDE TABLE

The elegant column table in walnut wood and one inner shelf has a hidden door that ingeniously opens by pressing a simple mechanism. There is a storage compartment under the top. This type of table, known as a ‘somno’, appears in the early 19th century. The top is usually marble in France, while the wooden top is found in central Europe during the Biedermeier period. Completely restored.
