Dominique Alonzo (1910 - 1930) A VIOLINIST

Bronze statuette of a violinist with an inserted face carved from ivory. Alonzo was a student of the sculptor Alexandre Falguière. She exhibited her work from 1912 and 1926 at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français. His detailed Art Deco statuettes mostly show female figures dressed in long dresses, occasionally nudes and religious subjects, and more rarely male figures.
