Jaromír Wíšo (1909 - 1992) PORTRAIT OF FRANTIŠEK MARIA ČERNÝ

Jaromír Wíšo was a Czech painter of post-impressionist and Cézian orientation, self-taught and later a pupil of Karel Holan. The original profession was lawyer. The architect František Maria Černý entered the public consciousness with the post-war completion of the Emmauzy Church (1967). According to the project, the building was reconstructed, during which the demolished towers were replaced by concrete wings with gilded spikes, which today rise above Prague.
