Jan Zrzavý (1890 - 1977) MAN WITH A SNAKE

The drawing of a man with a snake was originally in the collection of niece Jan Zrzavý. Jan Zrzavý has always been his own, after avant-garde beginnings we can most closely assign him to artists who prefer neoclassicism, new materiality or magical realism. He used geometry, elements of lyricism, created works full of symbols evoking existential meditation.
