The slightly convex headboard of the chest of drawers, richly patterned with geometrically inset rosewood, features a total of four drawers in three rows with precise fire-gilt bronzes. On the sides with three cannelures with inset brass, which also divides the space between the drawers. The top is made up of the original richly patterned marble known as 'rouge de rance', which was used, for example, in the construction of the exterior colonnade at the Palace of Versailles. The chest of drawers dates from the eight-year Regency period in France when the young Louis XV was replaced by Philip II. Orléans. Completely restored.
