Ota Janeček (1919 - 1996) THE OWL GOES FOR THE LITTLE BIRD

Ota Janeček collaborated with František Hrubín on several publications. The original illustration on offer is from a children's book entitled Pohádka o tom, jak přišla kukačka o chocholku (The Tale of How the Cuckoo Lost Its Crest). Between 1961 and 1964, Janeček illustrated a total of 29 books, and in 1963 he won a gold medal for his illustrative work at the biennial in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
