After his experience with Post-Cubism, Janeček, after a break from sculpture lasting almost twenty years, developed a distinctive style tending towards abstract forms. In the early 1960s, Janeček's desire to delve directly into the exploration of organic forms continued. He was enthusiastically interested in cell division or the splitting of atoms, as evidenced by his series Shapes, which lasted from 1961 to 1963 and consisted of non-figurative subjects. In his favourite materials, wood or bronze, he materialises legible - albeit very dynamic - shapes, often with open intersections. At that time he personally encountered the work of Henry Moore, with whom he became friends in England. The sculpture on offer, which is accompanied by a certificate, comes from the artist's heirs.
