Oldřich Kulhánek was a master of depicting figures, subtle nuances of facial expressions, gestures, touches and all the folds of the human body. It is no surprise that an artist of such extraordinary quality became the author of the design of the current banknotes of the Czech Republic. Such a task is worthy of a graphic artist of masterly qualities. Kulhánek's work stands out precisely because of the combination of technically perfect form and suggestive expression, in this case hand gestures, which served as a narrative element of his compositions.
