Antonín Hudeček was able to masterfully capture the situation of everyday life, using supple strokes and tiny splashes of colour to capture the impression of autumn foliage. Together with Antonín Slavíček, he joined a group led by Julius Mařák and painted landscapes in the vicinity of Okor. The plein-air painting is a convincing demonstration of his talent as a landscape painter, which was appreciated abroad and corresponded with the contemporary impulses of French Impressionism.
