Vladimír Komárek (1928 - 2002) SERIES OF 3 PRINTS

V. Komárek was one of the leading figures in 20th-century Czech visual art. He began his studies at the glass art school in Železný Brod. In 1946, he was accepted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, but after two years he transferred to the School of Applied Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 1954 under Prof. Karel Štipl. During his studies, he was actively involved in his own creative work and also participated in the activities of various groups. For example, from 1965 to 1971, he was a member of the Hollar Association of Czech Artists and Graphic Artists. His earlier work is characterized by considerable expressiveness, while his later, more mature work is significantly more lyrical and poetic. Various sheet sizes: 30x20, 32x19, 34x46.5 cm.
