The Ignaz Ginskey company was one of the most important manufacturers of hand- and machine-woven carpets in Austria-Hungary and one of the largest in Europe. It was founded around 1840 and experienced its greatest boom at the turn of the century. Alfons Mucha designed a carpet for the company, which is currently on display at the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec.
