Jaroslav Malínský (1897 - 1979) MOTHER WITH CHILD

Jaroslav Malínský devoted himself to studying art from the age of 14. After World War I, he was accepted into the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where he studied under Vojtěch Hynais. He also received a scholarship from the Hlávka Foundation. In the interwar period, he was a sought-after Prague portraitist and led the Union of Fine Artists. Malínský's painting range was enormous; he painted landscapes, genres, still lifes, nudes, and portraits, and also depicted village life with its joys and sorrows.
