Jiří Anderle is currently one of the most important Czech graphic artists, and the role of man, whether mythological, artistic, historical, or social, has repeatedly been at the center of his work. He has repeatedly returned to the theme of transience – "Vanitas" – in a complex and elaborate cycle that combines virtuoso work with composition, the fragile beauty of flowers and fresh fruit, and the transformation of the human face through the lens of relentless time.
