The depicted motif shows the Deutsches Haus in Brno (demolished in 1945), an important national and cultural institution of the German minority in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. The decoration is transfer-printed and hand-coloured, though imprecisely aligned — the printed image slightly misaligns with the cup’s relief, indicating mass production and less precise manual application typical of factory-made wares.

Damage: wear to the gilding and printed decoration.
