A pair of high-quality portrait miniatures – of an elderly lady and an elderly gentleman with a full beard – executed in oil on ivory. The faces are delicately modeled, with a realistic rendering of expression and clothing details. Each is set in a copper-toned frame with a suspension loop, housed in the original two-part folding brown leather case, the interior lined with light grey velvet. Signed on the reverse of both miniatures.
