Ivan Ouhel (1945 - 2021) LANDSCAPE

Ivan Ouhel created many internal landscapes where color communicates as a distinct entity. He often chose rounded and circular shapes, enjoyed observing life, seeds, and birth, and connected his microscopic and landscape observations into a single whole. In the 1990s, Ivan Ouhel was full of creative energy after overcoming illness, his color palettes were rich and bright, his compositions vital and imbued with an almost childlike joy. Towards the end of the 1990s, he returned to more meditative forms in his work.
