In this series, circles and spheres symbolize the planet, while squares and cubes symbolize human nature. There are upper and lower spaces. When the circle opens, the galaxy opens as well, and inside there is another circle—this one symbolizing the planet—from which cubes fall out in opposite directions, gravitating toward the center of the image—the free cosmos. As soon as the opposite cubes meet, they break into small pieces, and the one in the middle grows and gives birth to a new platform – a new space where the same process will repeat itself. When Jan Kaláb first created these images, they had only three colors: black, white, and red, but over the years he added new ones. The crossing of planets is also about the subjective feeling of being "inside the work" and searching. In a state of weightlessness, we search for layers and bodies, creating a stereometric plan of our own space of imagination. Certificate of authenticity enclosed.
