THONET CHILDREN'S ROCKING CHAIR

Beech wood was ideal for the production of bentwood furniture. The process involved heating the wood, causing it to shrink, and then immersing it in boiling water to make it swell and easy to bend and manipulate. Once the wood dried, it hardened in its new shape. This is a famous and popular design model in a children's version. Excellent condition.
