František Kaván (1866 - 1941) LANDSCAPE NEAR ŽELEZNICE

František Kaván separated himself from people and embraced peace, modesty, and a simple life in the countryside as his closest companion, where horizons, gusts of wind, flowering meadows, and snow blankets provided him with artistic inspiration. The presented record dates from the period 1900-1904, when he settled in Železnice near Jičín. According to consultation with PhDr. Michael Zachař, this high-quality painting was most likely created in the early days, probably in 1901-1902.
