Ferdiš Kostka (1878 - 1951) STUPAVA MUSICIAN

The figure of a folk musician is the work of the renowned folk potter and figurative ceramist Ferdiš Kostka, whose work and technique followed in the footsteps of the famous Haban ceramics. Like his brother Ján, who preferred scenes from contemporary life in Stupava, Ferdiš also focused on the people and life of his native village. Together with his sister Mária, they designed a series of groups of several figures depicting the work and leisure activities of the people. Excellent condition.
