A glass object based on a unique piece of old subfossil oak. Jaroslav Prošek works in the very centre of the Czech glass craft - in Česká Lípa in northern Bohemia. He specializes in creating unique glass sculptures that stand out for their exceptional craftsmanship. During his time working for a company focused on the production of luxury chandeliers and glass objects, he realized that besides the perfect mastery of the material, the aesthetic aspect of glass and its artistic potential also appealed to him. He further developed his talents in the studios of prominent glass artists Vlastimil Beránek and Jan Frydrych, whose work influenced his further artistic career. He draws his inspiration mainly from nature and chooses the processing techniques individually according to the character of each work. Jaroslav Prošek's works are part of the collection of the Mambo Bogotá Museum of Modern Art or the private art collection of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Salman. His glass sculptures from the same series as the offered glass sculpture were successful, for example, at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
