Four-piece tea service in polished silver, made in Russia in the workshop of the famous Tsarist silversmith Ignaty Sasikov. The set consists of two teapots of different shapes, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. All the vessels have a gilded interior and are decorated with ivory details on the handles and grips, indicating a high level of craftsmanship. In 1846, the company received the privilege of being an official supplier to the Tsar from Tsar Nicholas I. The firm exhibited at several world exhibitions: it won a gold medal at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851 and was awarded the Legion of Honour at the 1867 Universal Exhibition in Paris. After his death, the business was taken over by his two sons, Pavel and Sergei, until 1887, when the company was sold. The tray is in a different style and comes from a different manufacturer. All pieces are marked and hallmarked. Total weight of silver: 2,4 kg.
