Tavík František Šimon (1877 - 1942) PORT IN OSTENDE

František Šimon Tavík was one of Max Pirner's students and was one of the most important graphic artists, painters, woodcutters and later taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of SVU Mánes and a co-founder of the Hollar Association. He traveled extensively and the presented work Port in Ostende belongs to his thematic work inspired by journeys in a relatively chamber format.
