A BIEDERMEIER SOFA

The elegant sofa inspired by the shape of a divan with an added backrest is a typical example of timeless, laconic designs from the workshops of the Central European Biedermeier. Graceful folds on both legs and armrests, backrest with subtle inlay in maple wood. Newly upholstered in black velvet. Completely restored. The offered sofa comes from the collection of the famous Czech sculptor Bohumil Kafka.
