AN EMPIRE TAZZA

Exceptionally well-crafted French Empire gilt bronze tazza with a chased circular base on which stands a stylized, Egyptian art-inspired, winged caryatid on a lion's paw. The top bowl of cut glass is set in a basket motif mount finished with a border of acanthus leaves. Excellent condition.
