The Scream photograph dates back to the time of František Drtikol's greatest fame, when he maintained his position as an elite art photographer and he photographed many celebrities. But he also did not forget about artistic acts that show a special sense of aesthetics influenced by the Art Nouveau style, art deco and avant-garde. He described them as follows: "I get inspired at three things: decorativeness, movement, calmness and expression of individual lines." Photography The Scream combines a virtuosically lit female nude with the expressive drama of the whole moment. The shadow cast by the model's body evokes a mythical roaring sphinx that symbolizes mystery and hidden secrets.

An expert opinion by Stanislav Doležal is attached to the work.
