The dark incarnations of the Madonnas are sometimes created by the age of the works, sometimes deliberately. However, it is a phenomenon that has clearly been reflected in a wide range of objects of religious veneration and is sometimes accompanied by quotations from the Bible, for example from the Song of Songs or the Vulgate.
