TEA SET MEISSEN

Richly gilded footed tea service, consisting of six cups (9 cm) and saucers, a sugar bowl (13.5 cm), a milk jug (16.5 cm), and a large (24.5 cm) and smaller (17.5 cm) teapot. All pieces are decorated with bouquets of various flowers, rendered in high-quality painting with vivid tones. All handles are subtly relief-modelled and fully gilded. The spouts of both teapots bear a fully gilded relief face. Four of the saucers feature medallions of different sizes. Produced by the Meissen porcelain manufactory.

Defect: minor wear to the gilding, glaze defect on one of the saucers.
