The author's melancholic, painterly sensitively portrayed favorite theme of the girl or princess is also based on the mood of the late 1940s. The center of Ludmila Jiřincová's work was mainly young women, posing as a symbol of human destiny or as the bearers of the story's center of gravity. The drawing probably belonged to the illustrations of some of the fairy tale books. Her work is spoken of as dreamy, mysterious, full of longing. She herself said that she was primarily trying to express "the truth of her feeling." Ludmila Jiřincová graduated from the School of Painting, Ceramics and Landscape. She devoted herself to free graphics, illustrations, cartoons, exlibris, painting, stamp and poster creation. She illustrated about 360 books, especially focusing on poetry collections (eg J. Seifert's collections). During her life, she created more than 1,200 graphic sheets.
