POSTHABAN JUG

This painted post-Haban faience jug, bearing the inscription "KOWAC MATGAS" and dated 1766, depicts a plowman with horses and comes from the estate of the prominent Czechoslovak painter Oldřich Blažíček. The bottom of the jug bears the painter’s mark "B" and the number 53. There are cracks and chips in the glaze.
