Émile Gallé (1846 - 1904) VASE WITH A DRAGONFLY MOTIF

The dominant motif on the vase is a dragonfly—this design began appearing on products after 1900 and became very popular. The vase, in soft cream tones, features brown glass in various shades and is decorated with an etched design of dragonflies and aquatic plants; it is signed “Gallé” at the base.
