Jan Baptista Dvořák (1825–1890) apprenticed under Jan Kulík from 1840 to 1844. Before settling in Prague, he worked in Budapest for J. B. Schwautzer and in Vienna for Anton Hofmann. His instruments were based on models by Stradivari and Guarneri. They were well-constructed, but not as refined as the instruments made by his son Karel Boromejský. He also made guitars. The printed label read: Joh: Bapt: Dworák / Geigen ing Guitarenmacher. Prag. J. B. Dwořák / fecit Pragae. 18.. Dimensions: Body 359 mm, Top 166 mm, Middle 111 mm, Back 205 mm. Violin marked with a label. Accompanied by an expert appraisal from violin maker Petr Zdražil.
