Rous often explored animal motifs. Sculptures on this theme were primarily cast by Franta Anýž’s Prague-based art foundry, which worked for our leading sculptors. One of his larger hunting-themed sculptures, titled “Halali,” can be viewed in the courtyard of Slatiňany Castle. Private collections feature smaller works: a stag, a roebuck with a doe, hares, and others. The statuette is marked "FRANTA ANÝŽ" on the side of the base.
