Richly carved French console table with carving thematizing grotesque ornaments consisting in interweaving floral motifs with figurative ones. Around the central arms two dragons with open mouths, mascarons with rosettes on the corners, the tripod formed by a stylized shell. The upper top is made of original marble with a rich pattern called 'rouge de rance', which was used, for example, to make the exterior columns at the Palace of Versailles. The console table dates back to the eight years of the Regency in France, when the young Louis XV was replaced by Philip II. Orléans. Excellent preserved condition.
