Jaroslav Horejc (1886 - 1983) ARCHER

The sculpture Lučišník (Archer) belongs to the artist's early period. It bears the typical features of Jaroslav Horec's work: elongated and muscular limbs, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a small head. The artist sent ten copies to Chicago between 1918 and 1919, and one was also exhibited at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925. The dimensions given include the pedestal. This is a later cast.
