Emil Filla (1882 - 1953) CUBIST HEAD

A Cubist head from the 1930s, originating from one of Filla's brief periods of interest in sculpture (1913–14, 1934–35, and 1936/37–38). The largest exhibition of his sculptural work took place in February 1935 at Mánes in Prague, where he exhibited twenty-three sculptures. Dimensions including the pedestal. Later cast.
