This sculpture of a woman on an archaically stylized dolphin fits into the artist's work from the early 1930s, a period of new lyricism. The artist often drew inspiration from archaic cultures—Etruscan, Greek, and Sumerian. This sculpture was created several times in various materials and sizes between 1926 and 1937. It is very rarely found on the market. The dimensions given include the plinth. Later cast.
