The sculpture Girl with an Amphora belongs to the works created in the 1930s and 1940s, when, in addition to decorativism and physical elongation, realistic tendencies connected with a new lyricism also appeared. Girl with an Amphora also falls into this context. The large-format sculpture is now located in the Nostic Garden near Kampa. The original cast was created for the industrialist Čekan. The dimensions given include the pedestal.
