Jan Čejka studied at the School of Applied Arts under Prof. Dítě and at the Academy under Max Pirner. In addition to landscapes and still lifes, he also contributed his illustrations to Lidové noviny and literary magazines. He also created posters and toy designs. His works are characterized by a vitalistic, playful color scheme.
