Libuše Lepařová (1896 - ????) PEOPLE FROM MONTENEGRO

A pair of paintings depicting scenes from the Balkans by Libuše Lepařová, a student of Fr. Ženíšek. The dates and costumes depicted correspond to the First Balkan War of 1912–1913. The press at the time published many colorful illustrations from the Balkans, showing locals transporting supplies and weapons across the mountains to the front on the backs of donkeys.
