A large-format painting depicting the apotheosis of St. John of Nepomuk, martyr of the Catholic Church and one of the patron saints of the Czech lands. Similar compositions with putti (but much more dynamic in their execution) were also used by Petr Brandl, while Jan Jiří Major's treatment is significantly closer.
