Albín Lhota (1847 - 1889) PATH IN AUTUMN

The artist, a nephew of painter Antonín Lhota, a professor at the Prague Academy, was born in Kunratice in 1847. From 1863 to 1867 he studied painting at the Prague and also at the Academy of Vytautas. During this period he also undertook a study trip to Paris like many other artists. His work focused on painting small landscapes, which were of interest to many collectors. Even today his works are collectors' items, as he died at only 41 years of age.
