A groundbreaking work by Italian Renaissance painter Paris Bordone, considered one of the most important and popular portrait painters of the period's prominent figures; he also painted landscapes and typical mannerist scenes from mythology and allegories. The painting depicts a mythological group of half-length figures of Venus, Cupid, Bacchus and Diana. The work will be published in Andrea Donati's upcoming monograph; evaluation by Lionello Puppi. Oil on canvas. Color analysis: Dorothea Pechová, restoration report: Tomáš Záhoř and Jana Záhořová.
