A rare and well-crafted sewing table from the late German Biedermeier period probably comes from Munich or Berlin. It is a combination of very precisely processed marquetry and mother-of-pearl with floral motifs and lyres, polished brass and spices with a rich drawing of wood, especially on the upper board with a mottled structure.
Under the hinged plate, there is a mirror and a system of drawers, sewing supplies, and boxes with preserved glass bottles. The richly geometrically rugged foot with inlaid stars is combined with white brass plates. At the time, such craftsmanship with a combination of expensive materials was one of the most representative. Completely restored.
