The cubist vase designed by Vlastislav Hofman for Artěl was probably made by Graniton, Rydl and Thon Svijany - Podolí. It is a famous design of a cubist vase with the number 5009 in the shape of a comical needle on a triangular base, compressed upwards into a trapezoid. The shell is decorated with a red-painted 'M' (decor A), impressed No. 5009 on the underside. Ref: Czech Cubism, Architecture and Design 1910-1925, Vitra Design Museum, 1991, p. 270.
