The author turns to the traditions of modern but also classical sculpture. He characterizes his strength with the words: "It is not that the work should always be beautiful or even instructive, but in my opinion it should have a solid internal structure in terms of content and form. This internal structure of the work does not have to be loudly drawn attention to itself, nor is it about 'posterizing ideas' or adhering to a style. The internal structure is what distinguishes a true work from a pile of emotional and formal junk. We already have more than enough postmodern monuments to decay, ugliness and hysteria. I prefer beauty, compassion and clear consciousness."
