The author was an important Viennese architect and designer, a pupil of Josef Hoffman and Franz Matsch. He was one of the main designers of furniture and applied arts at the Wiener Werkstätte. The important design of the offered goblet belongs to a series of drinking glassware, which was produced in various colors and sizes from 1907 onwards by the Czech glassworks Josef Meyr's Neffe in Adolfov u Vimperka, according to Prutscher's designs in the spirit of Viennese geometric art nouveau. Clear glass layered with red glass, pierced geometric pattern.
